This hotel has an incredible location. From here you literally have the city are you doorstep. The rooms are clean so no problems here. The only negatives are: no a/c, which can be an issue if it's very hot, and the rooms are old. It's not an antique or even vintage charm. They are just old -- looking like they... more

The hotel was in a great location with the metro Baixa/Chado directly at the front of the hotel. There are excellent coffee houses directly at the side of the hotel. The hotel staff did not give us a smile for a whole week. The breakfast was the worst I had experienced in a european hotel bread and jam every day,... more

Arrived in Lisbon from Cascais and made our way to the hotel duas in the swelthering heat, only to be told it was over booked. They told us we were to stay in their sister hotel, which was Hotel Borges. The reception staff were soured faced and miserable to say the least. I feel they really need to get a... more

Room Booked with Lastminute.com I had a twin room at the front of the hotel- Lisbon is an amazing city -cultural with good shops and restaurants (try grilled sea bass) Hotel was very basic-sheets had stains on them. The bath had hair in it. However, there was a really interesting view of the Chadio shops from the baloney of my... more

Its moderately priced and a terrific find for the budget traveller who doesnt mind roughing it with the riff raff. At first sight the hotel seemed adequate. but the first night proved my suspicions right. This hotel has an infestation of repulsive welsh and english men. all to quick to get naked and whip on a borat costume! the chants... more

superb location in the center of Lisbon (barrio Chiado). Surrounded by a very commercial area, and at close range of Barrio alto, weel known for its night life. Hotel **, confortable enough for a few nights. more

I stayed a Saturday night at the Hotel Borges. The location is great; the metro Baixa/Chiado is directly in front of the hotel. There are many shops, cafes, restaurants in the area. It's a short walk to many of the main tourist spots. The hotel itself was ok....a typical 2/3 star European Hotel. I had a twin room facing the... more

Lisbon rocks. Which is just as well, because the Hotel Borges will not be the highlight of your stay, and you won't want to spend much time there. Situated in the heart of the Chiado, Lisbon's fashionable shopping and café district, the Hotel Borges could have it all. Instead, it is shabby and old fashioned in a very un-endearing kinda... more

The hotel is rather old and cheap, so do not expect any luxury. But the room was spacious and clean. At the start, we had a few troubles, like sheets and covers that were much too small (!), but they were replaced when we protested. The breakfast is absolutely minimal: some kind of an aquous solution that is supposed to... more

I stayed in the Hotel Borges from April 21 until April 24, 2007. Hotel Borges is good enough for a couple of nights. The rooms are large. The bathroom was clean. The breakfast is simple, but adequate to give you a good start. And if you want more, the are plenty of options close to the hotel to fill your... more
