We booked a holiday with ninthbeach or ninthbeach.com not sure what they call themselves last September. We stayed in their beach apartment s in Ericeira, just up from the Portuguese capital Lisboa.
They were extremelly easy to deal with and the holiday was hassle free. We were two couples, all in our late 20s, all trying to surf!
The apartments had everything we needed - kitchenette, big bathroom, very sunny balcony with a view of the Ocean and the Swimming Pools - although we spent most of our time on the beaches. Part of the package was surf lessons and equipment - they took us to a few different beaches for this and it was great fun. Loved the town also, not over run by tourists, great having a cool beer after a day surfing in the sun! There was a cool jazz bar in the centre worth checking out.
