This is a small, not fancy, but lovely gem. It's inside the historic walls of the town, not far from the castle, and in the midst of the touristy but attractive commercial main street. It's also a short uphill walk from the Miradouro, a great and fun patio bar with live music that made our stay special.
The owner is a kind older gentleman who speaks no English (his wife does, but we never met her) who will carefully look after you.
Our room was a lovely 40 euro double with a leather sofa and a queen bed that was well-made (snug as a bug in a rug). It had a tiny window directly over the main street. Our room had no bathroom, but the bathroom in the hallway was large and clean. Plus, only a couple of rooms shared the bathroom, so there were no traffic jams.
