We stayed for 5 nights in April and stayed in the main house. Fantastic sea views, and house is beautiful old building with many original features. Bedrooms are comfortable, though would have preferred proper double beds rather than twin beds joined together. Very friendly and helpful staff, good breakfasts. Good value simple evening meal though room for improvement. Very good... More

We stayed in Quinta das Vinhas for a week in Madeira and had a great time. We rented one of the cottages as we came with our 5 months old baby and it was perfect. Clean and cosy. The surroundings were beautiful and we didn't want to leave. The location was good as well. Not too far from Funchal and... More

We stayed one week in a small cottage for two persons and got a little breakfast service. Modern and clean, tastefully decorated. Outdoor terrace with sea view. It is possible to take dinner in the main house. There are local and typical cuisine. In the immediate vicinity there are good restaurants. Trails are also accessible well. Highly recommended resort!

We were lucky to get an upgrade when we booked a room with breakfast in this nice countryside hotel. We were installed in one of the cottages situated in the lower part of the vineyard around the nice and well-maintained pool. Our cottage was the restaured original house, more than 100 years old. It was very comfortable and clean, but... More

A delightful escape to the sun and warmth in February. The hotel is an old farmhouse with all the charm of period features and antique furniture but with sparkling , modern plumbing! Our room opened onto a delightful loggia and the garden with splendid views; a lovely place for afternoon tea with Madeira cake. The evening meal was a set menu of... We chose this Quinta because we wanted to visit the Art d'Eco Exhibition in Calheta and this was nearby. From the moment we arrived and were offered tea in the gardens, high up overlooking the coast, we were in heaven! The feeling of peace and tranquility was so relaxing, and the combination of being surrounded by antiques and comfort was... More

We stayed in one of the cottages associated with the main hotel, it only had one bedroom but they added extra beds so 4 could fit. It was spacious, and easily accommodated the childrens extra beds in the main room. We could eat inside or outside. All the cottages had a relatively private terrace space for sitting and eating. Fresh... More

Best food we had in Madeira, excellent selection at breakfast, delicious evening meals.. Beds comfortable. Small pool. Be warned that the village clock chimes every hour 24/7, albeit queietly. Friendly staff.

Beautiful land, perfect weather, nice property, idyllic flowers around pools and particular way to define eco-friendly rules for one business like this one.... The moment when I received one mail with proposal to upgrade my cottage to one with three bedrooms and two bathrooms - without any cost - I tough: lucky me ! YES ! It was the first,... More

We stayed here for one week and had a real relaxing time. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful! We rented one of the bugalows (appartment), equipped with a simple kitchen and bathroom, but all essential things were there. We had a chimney and used it on almost all evenings, as the small electric heater was not sufficient on some... More
