Melia mare wasagood choice but a little far from Funchal for an easy walk at night. Buses were good and reasonably frequent though The hotel is modern and clean with large rooms and good bathrooms. The staff in this hotel couldn't have been more friendly and helpful, the rooms were very nice especially the bathrooms.
