Design fans; this is definitely one for you! The building is really well designed, detailed and finished; my husband's an architect and loved it... Spent three days at QCB with our 18 month year old son and had a wonderful stay. It's a contemporary design classic; well planned around beautiful gardens, spacious, well appointed, spotlessly clean rooms - many wth... More

A really pleasant and relaxing stay at a splendid small hotel; everything I wanted for my break I stayed at the Quinta da Casa Branca with my partner for some winter daylight and warmth during January. I hadn't ever tried this before and we had some discussions about whether it would be too cold or too hot or too wet.... More

This was our second stay at QCB. We were welcomed back like old friends by the attentive, well trained staff. A well run hotel in a beautiful setting. I would recommend it to anybody looking for a quiet quality break in Madeira. More

I liked the compound of QCB a lot - very nice, green, quiet. Also I liked the way how old house and new houses where combined. Modern house was minimalistic, shallow, integrated superbly to compound. There were no standard rooms left, so we were upgraded on arrival We got the superior. Lucky us, because we booked with 40% discount. Superior... More

This was our 2nd visit to the QCB and we were not disappointed. Wonderful gardens, very friendly and efficient staff, good sized, comfortable room and bathroom (both spotlessly clean) - small patio area from the room with sun loungers facing the gardens. We did not visit the restaurant, but the breakfast was excellent. I really cannot find any faults at... More

We visited the QCB over the Xmas period to relax and rest. It is the perfect location for this. The hotel is L shaped, at the top of the gardens and fits in with its surroudings so that you somehow don't notice it. The staff were an excellent mix of friendly (tipping us off about a local festival for example)... More

Based on past TripAdvisor reviews we selected this small "country house" hotel for a week over Christmas. Excellent service, great room (Superior) and lovely gardens. Restaurant somewhat over-priced, service OK and food good. Dont pass it but try some of the local restaurants also. For such a small hotel, spa and fitness area are good. Staff are very attentive. We stayed for 11 nights in November 2011 and had a wonderful holiday. Arriving at reception check-in was quick and simple. We were shown to our standard room and I would agree with other reviews here - they are lovely and the patio area with your own sunlounger makes them preferable to the superior rooms. The hotel is spotlessly clean... More

Recommended by friends who have been there nine times!!! We weren't disappointed. The setting, the service, the food were all excellent. The RHS would be proud of the grounds. An excellent place to relax. We've never done a repeat visit to a holiday location but we would certainly consider going back there. More
