The location, near to Funchal, but in a small village high up, was perfect for us. Free hotel-bus to Funchal, and frekvent local buses. Nice swimming pool. 12,5 meters I guess. This is a beautiful modern hotel. All rooms have a sea view. The staff are really helpful & speak good English & German. When we were there over 90% of the guests were German.There are two restaurants, The Adega serves traditional local food barbecued over a wood fire.. Good location, great service. But be aware when driving from the airport : difficult to find the right direction once off from the motorway, especially by night. Hotel entrance is not visible from the street - so we've turned around about 45 min before beeing escorted by local peoples (by the way - very charming and helpfull people). Very good... more
