We stayed here for two weeks via Lastminute.com, and, at £1170 for 2 people for 2 weeks, it was pretty good value. My wife and I stayed at Jardim da Serra for a week in May 2007, combining this with a week at the Quintinha Sao Joao in Funchal. We loved the location and the atmoshere, which was calm and relaxed. Its a bit tricky to find if you are driving so try to avoid arriving for the first time after dark.... more
