Positives: Good sized rooms with catering facilities, lovely pool kept beautifully clean, free (on time) bus service, friendly staff, lovely ocean views, centrally located for amenities. Negatives: Road noise at night, slow lift and very slow poolside lunch service, limited breakfast choices, slightly dated decor. Still good value for money and we all enjoyed our holiday. more

we stayed here after spending the previous 6 nights at better hotels. on arrival we were impressed with reception area. clean, nicely furnished. our studio was big, with a large bedroom, large sitting room and 2 balconies. the bathroom and kitchen were clean but run down. the bedroom had 1 socket no where near the mirror so i swapped pictures... more

We stayed for 4 nights in a one bedroom apartment, for 3 of us. Apartment very spacious and good seaview. The Bedroom had 2 beds and the Lounge had a sofa bed. The Bedroom and lounge is separate with hallway and Bathroom and kitchenette in between. Cleaned daiuly and fresh towels. We were in halfboard. Breakfast not a great choice... more

A great hotel if you want somewhere relatively inexpensive in Madeira. Staff were excellent getting us tickets for Maritimo football game and providing a travel adaptor (which we had forgotten). The breakfasts were good value(although slightly repetative) but worth getting included in your price. We stayed for week as part of a last minute bed & breakfast package. The hotel is not in the first flush of youth but is well maintained and clean. The staff were really friendly and helpful. This hotel is cheap - we paid £36 per night in August for 1 bedroom apartments, including breakfast - but dont expect a fantastic hotel - it is ok but (and there are a few buts) there are a few negs which it is good to be aware of before arrival 1)we were given the wrong room type on arrival... more

Do not be fooled by the photographs. They are truly deceptive. For a start, the hotel is not directly onto the beach. You cross a busy main road and then have quite a distance to get to the beach. Most of the vista is hidden by all the hotels on the sea-side of the road. This is a horrid hotel.... more
