I honestly think it belongs to this very rare type pf hotels that you can never forget - for the astonishing beauty of the place, for the friendness and customer oreination of all the staff, for the top quality of food, ...it is hard to leave! Recommending is a gift to friends and the least I can do after this memorable experience! more
If you appreciate design interiors, swimming on a mountain, great views, good breakfasts and a bit of pampering, this is just your place!
This hotel/spa just opened in may 2008, and the concept is quite something new in Portugal. This reflected in the number of guests; the place was not crowded as it is apparently not too well known yet.
A few small points of attention before you book:
* work on your Portuguese, the staff is not too fluent in other languages:
* work on your driving skills, the road to the hotel/spa is a real challenge if you are not used to 20%+-gradients and hairpincurves mixed:
* bring a fly-squatter
* be prepared for irritating MIDI-file-muzak, dripping from the ceilings in the bar and other common spaces. (we have already brought this item up with the management.... wonder if our feedback had some result.)
* the place is less suitable for kids and adolescents: they will most likely agree that there is not too much...
