we have just spent 4 days at this pousada. we have stayed in Pousadas before and Paradors but this is the first 'nature' one and it was excellent. the other more negative reviewers had missed the point I think. After booking ahead we were annoyed to get a small room with a crap view of the carpark and was told it is ok because it is close to the bar, so on that note decided a drink would be nice to top off a day of driving, no service in the bar. Tried to chill out around the pool,... more

We stayed at this Pousada for a our honeymoon. It's a small quiet hotel set on a mountain top with spectacular views of Geres. The staff were fab. The hotel is Colonial style with a lovely private pool. more

Been there for 2 nights on May 2006. First I must explain that the Portuguese Pousadas do not belong to the normal 1 to 5 stars rating for hotels; they are usually historic or rural buildings adaptated to receive guests.
