The guest house Quinta do Ervedal is a serene little paradise at Douro valley. The place is a bit difficult to find without a gps because of poor street signs. There are two types of guest rooms. We stayed in a room with rock walls. Even though the room tends to be rather dark it was very nice and beutifully decorated. The property has a small pool and they serve Portuguease specialities for dinner. The breakfast is included in the price and it is suberb. The dinner is also good value for money.

The place is located in the country side without shops and only a few restaurants nearby.

This is a perfect base for Douro valley day trips and a place for relaxation and peace. more
