We have spent one week in San Marino (hotel or residencial, there are different signs) and that was a positive experience. We had a room overlooking the Praca Carlos Alberto and with a small balcony. The best thing about this place is the staff. There is always someone at the front desk (24 hour reception) and one woman in particular (who was usually there in the day time) spoke impeccably good English and went out of her way to help us. “A Dump!!”

The friendliness of the staff didn't compensate for the dirt and discomfort of this place. Nothing worked, from the plumbing to the internet. I had a stiff neck from the lumpy pillows. The bathroom door wouldn't stay open and the door to the hall wouldn't stay shut! The only positive I can think of is the location.

Accepted dogs so we booked and whaat a nice surprise when we arrived. Friendly staff, clean rooms and the locality is great.
