The hotel is close to Sao Bento station and within 10mins walking distance from Trinidad station (ideal for catching the Metro to and from the airport). My personal room was a little on the small side although I believe that was more of an exception rather than the rule. Breakfast was good with a good selection (savoury, variety of breads,... More

It's a retro-style hotel with a great location: very close to a metro stop and in a range of 20mins walk you can reachh every famous spot of the city. The staff is very friendly and helpful and breakfast is good value.. just if you have an early flight be ready no way to get some early food with you... More

Very good location, in a not so run-down part of Porto, close to metro station and restaurants. Staff were really friendly! The room, though, was old and the forniture was really shabby. They claim it's a "retro style", but the hotel definitely needs some improvements. Breakfast room was too small, sometimes you have to wait for a table. Good value... More

So everyone speaks English in Porto, or at least they try to. The people are quite helpful and the town is quite nice. You can clearly see that the economic crisis has hit it hard, but if you went like we did for some tourist destinations and some shopping, you'll find the prices to be very reasonable. Porto is one... More

You don't get much closer to the city center, as this hotel is one block away from the city hall and main square. Service was very good when we stayed, and considering location, prices are very good. Quality is not the highest though, and maintenance seems to have been neglected for quite some time. The neglect seems to go beyond... More

We stayed in this hotel for 3 nights. Everything was so easy and good. I liked its retro style the most. Also it is well located: close to metro while the most of city sights and places of interest being in a walking distance (~5-20 min). It was a little bit cold in the bathroom (November outside!), but still OK.... More

Really enjoyed the 2 nights i stayed at this hotel. Very close to a metro station but also within walking distance to many attractions. The hotel is clean and well kept, as are the rooms. Very spacious, old style, rooms with windows that block out noise from outside amazingly well. The elevator was not so much to my liking so... More

Looking for a nice, relatively inexpensive hotel in central Porto for a city break for a group of five, I came upon this hotel. In truth, the lovely collection of retro artefacts they hold and as displayed on the website attracted me and this too was a reason why I chose it. The hotel did not disappoint, It is clean,... More

We picked this hotel for our 2 nights stay at Porto. The location was OK, to get to the Ribeira took us about 20 mins by walking. Our GPS had no troubles to find the route to the hotel as well. Our superior double bed room was quite spacious, old-fashioned, clean and located on the 5th floor. Can´t complain about... More
