We had a voucher for a pousada and we chose this one, our standard bedroom was 130€, with no balcony but they did put us in one on the 3rd floor with a great view over the monument of Santa Luzia and Viana do Castelo. Comparing to other pousadas or even hotels for the same price the only good thing... more

Stayed here on our honeymoon. One of the nicest hotels during our 10 days in Portugal. Beautiful view and decent service. Sure the rooms are a little dated, but what do you expect from a pousada? Isn't that the whole point? Anyways, we felt like royalty and the prices were really not that bad and the included breakfast was great. more

Loved the view from our very little balcony. Rooms were nice. But when we were there they were just renovated. The hotel is on top of the mountain, so you have to drive to town or to the beach. more

This pousada is superbly located on the top of Monte Santa Luzia overlooking the city of Viana do Castelo. If you want a room with a nice view, make sure to book one of the suites. This hotel was very, very nice, sumptuously decorated, with large spacious rooms. The hotel makes you feel like a King, requiring an ascent up a hill, past the famous neo-Byzantine Sta. Luzia church.
