My husband and myself together with our teenage kids stayed three nights at the St George Hotel. The purpose of our visit was business/leisure. We chose the hotel because of its very good location. It is built on a hill and the views from the upper floors are really magnificent! First impression: nice entrance hall - good receipt at reception.... more

We've stayed at the Saint George annually for some 20 years until 9/11/2001. The new Athens airport makes it less desirable to lay over in the city when going to the Aegean islands so we haven't until this September. Our purpose was to see the Acropolis Museum. The Saint George remains a rock of good and friendly service, a fantastic... more

Arriving in Athens after 16 hours of flights, my wife and i found this hotel to be a quiet oasis in the city. Our room, though small, had a balcony with view of the Acropolis. The neighborhood is interesting, and the hotel recommended a excellent small taverna several blocks away for dinner. Buffet breakfast was excellent. The staff were helpful... more

My wife and I arrived at the St. George on my birthday after a long ferry ride from Naxos. The first thing that jumped out at me from our 3rd floor balcony was the stunning view of the Acropolis (lit at night) and downtown Athens. Wow. We stayed five nights and we spent some quality time on the cute little... more

The reception area gives a good impression and the roof top restaurant was excellent. However, the bedroomroom was small and we asked to be moved, but that room did not even have any drawers so we were unable to unpack all our clothes. The first evening did not go well because there was a wedding party and even though our... more

Stayed at this hotel with my partner when we visited Athens in Oct 2009. This hotel is definitely not worth its 5 star rating and is terribly overpriced for what it actually offers. This hotel boasts good views of Athens but be warned you have to stay in a room above the 3rd floor and at the front of the... more

Was staying at this hotel as had a conference in one of the the function rooms. Service and food during the event were fine, but not great. If you get a room with a balcony, facing the acropolis, you will have a fantastic view. We were fortunate to be staying in rooms with great views. You really are paying for... more

Located in the most expensive area of athens on Lycabettus hill. The view to the parthenon and the acropolis is so fantastic that even if it was a terrible hotel it would be hard to say bad things about it. The breakfast is an unforgettabel experience. The dinner is an unforgettable experience for your wallet, but you only live once..... more

We had a long weekend to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We thought the hotel was very comfortable. The first night we ate in the hotel restaurant, set on the top floor with a beautiful view of the Acropolis. The food was fine dining and very expensive. However, if you are prepared to pay the price it is worth the experience.... more

We chose this hotel for its close proximity to the railway station - and whilst we were quite prepared for the walk we never anticipated it would be such a steep climb. Definitely recommend a cab. (when you have cases) The view of the Acropolis was as promised - amazing. Our room was everything we expected, small but neat and... more
