We wanted a good budget hotel, and thought by going with a known chain such as Best Western that we would be ok. The hotel is in a very bad neighborhood. There were policeman with automatic weapons at every corner along the way! Scary! I would not walk anywhere by myself, only with my husband, and wouldn't let my teenage... more

This isn't a hotel that you choose because of location but rather because of its value. The price is reasonable, you get a free breakfast in the morning, the room is clean and spacious compared to other hotels in Greece I'd stayed at, and there is a metro stop a couple of blocks away. The hotel is not in an... more

I'm glad I stayed here only for 1 day.The location was scary. There were cops outside all the time and when we asked the hotel reception on it,he said it was for our security. I even saw a whole bus of cops in the night getting ready for some kind of operation. The room was ok,I did not like the comforters... more

This hotel is located 15 min walk from the shopping area. however the metro is jus 2 min away and is the best way to travel. The hotel is nice and the rooms are spaceous and clean. The breakfast is nice too. The receptionist at night was very arrogant and use to be talking on the phone truout and would... more

Whilst the hotel is perfectly located to Omonia Square and its metro, the hotel did not live up to my expectations despite being a Best Western Hotel. A baby cot was booked in advance, bu when we checked in this had not been prepared. On enquiring where it was, we were told that it was too late in the day... more

THIS WAS MY SECOND STAY AT THE HOTEL. The front office staff reamains the same and remembered my earlier visit. They are extremely courteous, eager to help and attentive. Good location, just walking distance to the Metro and Omania Sqaure. Nice spacious rooms, good breakfast spread. The Lift is a bit cramped and slow. more

I was thrilled with the room, as it was really large and modern with a huge balcony with great views – really stunning. Also this hotel has a great location, as everything is in walking distance, including the train station and Pantheon. The breakfast selection was good, though not vast, BUT they allow smoking in the breakfast room – seriously!... more

We had a comfortable stay in this hotel. There was nothing fancy or special about it, but nothing to complain about either. It is a basic Best Western with basic amenities. The rooms were a decent size and were fine. There was a pretty good spread for breakfast with eggs, cereals, breads, meat, cheese, and fruit. Most of the fruit... more

The Pythagorion is a very nice hotel, very clean and tidy with friendly reception staff. The room (501) was a good size with a tv, safe, balcony and mini-bar. The hotel is on a very busy street however, and is quite noisy at times. The area itself isn't brilliant either, you have to walk for about 15mins at least to... more

My wife and I booked a stay of 5 nights at this property from Feb. 14-19, 2009. We read the reviews on TripAdvisor and determined it would fit our needs, even though other travelers complained about the property and said to avoid it because of the area. We were pleasantly surprised when we arrived. We found the hotel a short... more
