I syayed at this hotel with my mother, it was my christmas present to her as I do not get to see her very often. I had booked an executive room with an Acropolis view and was given a standard room, when I queried this at the reception the staff were very rude and insisted that the room I was... more
This is almost a 2 star hotel. Location is good, near Metro and restaurants. Room furnishings appear to be out of the 1960s. For the most part the staff were curt and unsimpathetic. more
hotel is in a very central location , but when we got to our room on the 4th floor..it was digny and dumpy ...the bathroom especially...not too clean with a miniscule shower. Not a place I looked foward to returning to at night. more
Good location, as everyone seems to agree, and the staff is friendly enough--up to a point. When I suggested our "deluxe" room wasn't deluxe, I was told "It's deluxe by our standards." The room was close and dingy and not well maintained. The A/C was dreadful (in mid-August in Athens!)--to get any benefit I would have had to sleep in... more
I spent 2 nights in August and I have been quite happy with the hotel and the service. They gave me a room on the 8th floor (nice view to the Parthenon), and everything was working OK (the air conditioning system could be better though). The location is great (Syntagma sq is 100m away, far from the junky area of... more
This is an average hotel although as a Best Western franchise one would expect a better overall quality. The best part about this hotel is its location - it could not be more central. As a place to "crash" for the night , (just to sleep), and then resume tourist / business activities in downtown Athens, it is possible to... more
Just a short report to conform all the negative reviews. The rooms including bathroom/toilet, furniture, bed linen etc are really depressing, worn-out and not very clean. Rooms are very noisy in the morning. The only positive thing is the central location. No particular complaints about the desk staff. The overall experience remains very very poor. more
Well imagine this, I'm at my honeymoon, everithing is going wonderfully and then i got to this hotel where first they gave me a room at the last floor where i couldn't stay for more than 10 minutes because of the noise of the air conditioned. After my protest they transfered us to a room at a lower floor. That... more
This hotel is the worst hotel we ever visited for ages. Old rooms, dirty carpets, non refurbished since the mid 60s. Noise outside was unbereable. Service very poor with arrogant staff. We decided to escape this place after one night, and moved to the Hilton. We would really not recommand that place at all. Prices are quite high for the... more
