We stayed here for three days and were thrilled with our choice in accommodation. The hotel was so close to the Acropolis, and in fact, we walked to all the places we wanted to visit from the hotel. The location is the best part about the hotel, but also the staff are friendly, the rooms clean and comfortable more

Convenient location, great service & comfortable rooms made our stay at the Phillipos a great experience. We stayed there 3 times during a 9 night vacation. Breakfast was included and consisted of a buffet of cereal, fruit, yoghurt, toast, eggs, sausages etc. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Our last night was spent on the 5th floor which was... more

Location is excellent, just below the Acropolis and on a street leading off from the new walkway. Room was spotlessly clean -small but had TV, fridge/mini bar, room safe, phone (see below however). Bathroom was TINY - good pressure on shower but you took a life threatening chance every time trying to stand up in a split level half bath!... more

we have just returned from two nights at the Philippos Hotel. The room was clean but very small, the breakfast was pretty basic but for £90.00 for two nights we were happy. the location is good a short walk to Acropolis subway station and a short walk to the Acropolis. A local Restaurant we eat in both nights was the... more

I traveled to Greece with no hotel reservation. I booked my room online and got the cheapest rate for a few days at Philippos. I chose this hotel because of the convenience of its location to the main tourist sites I was interested in visiting. I thought I would go to other islands but my lack of desire to travel... more

I stayed at the Philippos 3 nights before going to the islands and 3 nights after. They were great. They even held a suitcase of items we didn't need to carry to the islands, until we returned. The balconies were so large and nice to sit outside with views of the Acopolis, and sip some wine. It was a great... more

We ended up staying at the Philippos on the last night of our honeymoon last May. It was awful. Our room smelled musty and the sheets on the bed felt damp. The decor in the room was drab and depressing with dim flourescent lighting. And we had twin beds even though they knew in advance that we were on honeymoon.... more

Athens such a vibrant city--we only stayed an extra day on our way to join cruise ship-wished we had more time. Philippos Hotel is very good location to be near Acropolis. We had a nice, modern, but smallish room with a huge patio and a very slight view of Acropolis. Good breakfast too. But staff very grumpy. Have hotel staff... more

The hotel room seemed small, like one for a single person. When we asked, the desk clerk insisted all rooms were the same size. Later, when we saw a vacant much larger room. They lied to us and then blamed us for not speaking up more earlier, which we did. Breakfast was good and staff worked hard. It was just... more

We arrived in Athens on election night when everyone was driving round at crazy speeds hooting their horns and shouting. The Philippos, however, was mercifully quiet and we could barely hear a sound from our large balcony with a view of the floodlit Parthenon. Very comfortable room, wonderful sheets and good facilities. Helpful staff and pleasant lobby area. Only disappointment... more
