I booked this hotel before reading the reviews on this website and a couple of them did make me feel abit nervous... WHAT A MISTAKE!!! As mentioned by a fellow-reviewer the breakfast buffet was an endless array of sweet and savory delights including many authentic Greek dishes which I wouldn't have otherwise tried. The rooms were adequately equipped with a... more

We chose this hotel because it was on a tour package we used. The ratings looked pretty good. I think people need to know that the air conditioning may work adequately in some rooms, but it didn't in our room or our friend's rooms. It is controlled thru a central station that is turned on by the front desk. Opening... more

my husband and our friends stayed at Golden Age hotel for a weekend .Our experience was great . Reception staff very friendly and helpful ( we asked them for a good restaurant on a Friday night at 22.00p.m. and they started searching for that ).Next day the breakfast !!!!I can not imagine something not existing ( perhaps :smoked salmon) delicioius... more

Hotel booked by my local business contact. Paid 115Euro which I thought was a good price for this hotel. I was only in Athens for 1 night and did not have time to travel around to see if this hotel was well located. However, it was central and close to a metro station. Nice clean hotel. Good rooms. Not much... more

We have been staying at the Golden Age on yearly trips to Greece for the past ten years. We usually spend a day or two at the beginning of our trip and another night before we return to the States. Our return flight leaves at 6 a.m requiring us to be at the airport by 4 a.m. The hotel prepares... more

I stayed at the Golden Age from Sept 28 - Oct 5, 2006. I've stayed in Athens many times in the past and found this hotel to be one of the best kept secrets in Athens. It's up the road from the over-priced Hilton and Holiday Inn. Check in took minutes. Friendly and experienced staff look after your every needs.... more

I stayed there last July for one week attending a conference. The general impression was very positive. The room was spacious, the bathroom only adequate in space, but fine. The room was overlooking a park, which was welcome given that the hotel is in the middle of Athens. The hotel is quite too, so you can wonder in hectic Athens... more

Good location if you are attending a conference or exhibition at the Megaron. The hotel is located on quite a busy road so I would recommend a room on the upper floors. Approximately 10 mins walk to the Megaron and 5 minutes to the nearest underground station. Rooms comfortable and clean with double glazing - you'll need it! Staff had... more

Stayed here for one night before a pre-dawn flight out of Athens. The hotel is well located with a metro stop nearby. The room was clean and modern with a little balcony. The windows are well insulated against the loud noise from the busy street. As a walk-in, we got a rate of 170 euro and got a corner room... more

My company regularly sends staff to Greece on business and chooses the Golden Age Hotel to stay at. We find it to be sensibly priced, comfortable and in a central location for our business needs. I will be staying there next week, as usual. more
