We were put in this hotel by our cruise line as a replacement for lost sea days due to cruise itinerary was shortened. We booked one of the cruise lines top suites and you would think they would accomodate their passengers in a compareable hotel/room. This hotel was a 2 star, at best. I've stayed in 3 star hotels around... more

Actually, i travelled a lot in China before i moved to Europe with my husband, this hotel absolutely can not compet with Chinese hotels of 3 star. The room is small and the bed is not comfortable at all.Only good point is the American breakfast, many choices, bacon, egges, juice, homemade bread......i enjoy very much of the breakfast, clean tables and good service,We stayed in... more

I chose this hotel because of the proximity to all of the sites I wanted to see. My room was clean and the service was good. However, my room was probably the worst one in the entire place (#508) and should have probably requested a change. The window faces a wall, so there is very little sunlight. The shower was... more

We stayed 3 nights, everyone in the hotel speaks at least a little english, and all were helpful. There were several groups in and out during our stay, including american high schoolers, and a Rick Steves tour, but we didn't hear a thing. The back of the hotel faces a noisy street, but our room was at the front with... more

This was a great little hotel. The only "trouble" we had was on the first day, when we had to be relocated to another 5-star sister hotel while repairs were made to the electricity in our room, and we agreed upon our transfer back to the Acropolis Select that, aside from the pool, this hotel was really the 5-star one.... more

This was one of the worst hotels I have ever stayed in in Europe. The only good thing about this hotel is that the staff was friendly and attentive and it is very close to the Acropolis and Plaka. However, I would have rather made the commute back to my hotel miles away than stay here again. Dirty rooms, LOUD... more

Everthing was great. Location - convienient to metro stations, Platka, main acropolis sites, can even pick up the express bus to Cape Sounion (Temple of Poisiden) in front. Cost was very reasonable. Service - could not ask for anything better. Rooms and hotel very clean. Breakfast - included and satisfiying (eggs, french toast, meat, cheese, fruit, juices, cereal, breads, and... more

This place was a good choice if you want to be near transportation and sights. The staff was helpful and very friendly (I understand greek, so they weren't saying anything negative about anyone!) The immediate area is a mixture of residential and small businesses. It is safe. I had a front room, and it wasn't noisy Even with the doors... more

We stayed at the Acropolis Select for 4 nights in April 2009. Some friends from Greece recommended the hotel and we were overjoyed that we were lucky enough to stay there. The staff was unusually friendly and helpful, the breakfasts were lavish and delicious, and the room was perfect. From our balcony we could see the Acropolis. I would have... more
