Curly black hairs on the pillows, bed sheet, and the top sheet they said was a blanket. The bed matress was 3 inches thick! A jack hammer was located right outside of our room and was completely removing the road for construction all day long. Before my husband and I unpacked our suitecases, we left the hotel. There was no... more

Just returned from a month in Greece, where we spent our last night in the Adams Hotel -- and I can't yet get the images of this creepy place out of my mind. I agree with the comments that say dirty, mouldy smell, poorly maintained, ancient plumbing, unhelpful (even creepy) reception staff. Yes, the location is good, and it is... more

We stayed here at the end of a wonderful island hopping trip to see the sights, after reading a number of reviews, saying basic but good for Plaka. We were backpacking so were fine with basic. The location was good for exploring the sites but although the room was clean enough and had the basics (a bed and a bathroom)... more

The good: The location is great. 100 metres from one of the restaurant squares in Plaka make it an easy walk, without the noise of late night revelers. We were given one of the third floor suites that have two bedrooms, though we couldn't use the extra beds, this was one of only two rooms in the hotel with a... more

My reservation was made by email for a single room with private bath, for 3 nights. I then emailed again to say I would be arriving a day earlier than I had planned. They responded saying that would be no problem and they had rooms available for the extra day as well. I was given a rate of 65 euros... more

Our first night in Athens we stayed at the Adams hotel. We booked a double, and were given a "suite" - 2 bedrooms (one with 2 twins, one with a double) and a large bathroom. (The toilet was raised up on a dais, like a throne, which made me laugh). It was all very basic, but was just fine for... more

I choose this hotel after the reviews I read. It was exactly what I expected but: It was winter and the AC never really worked. So the room was very very very cold. Plus the sound of the AC was very disturbing. The breakfast was ok. What I found weird was that we asked for a late check put (3.00... more

The hotel is probably the cheapest and cleanest in the Heart of Plaka. So if you are on a budget, this is the place to stay. It's not bad, but it's not that good either. It's an older hotel, got two twin beds for my fiance and I...that was a blast! ;) And the shower was very interesting...it didn't have... more

I've stayed here one or two nights for 20 years. I love the location. It's the best. And there are two interconnected rooms on the top floor (third floor) with fantastic views over the acropolis, where I Took my daughters on holiday at easter. they were impressed. i must admit that the the normal rooms are pretty ordinary; and that... more

The location was great, right at the foot of the Acropolis, but the hotel was far from memorable. The rooms were clean and basic with stiff beds and the front desk service was average at best - when we arrived, they had lost our reservation so we had to go through some inconvenience to get rooms for the six of... more
