We stayed here 2 nights and thought it a nice hotel. It wasn't a commercial hotel and when you are on a tour (we were part of a small group tour with Adventures Abroad) sometimes that is the only type of hotel available. The location was superb, near the Acropolis and the Plaka. The breakfast was excellent. more

Hotel Hera is a great place to stay in Athens. We found it superior in price and location to many other alternatives we considered. We used it as the meeting point for several people in our group after flying into Athens for a cruise that left there the next day. The location can't be beat: there are a myriad of... more

Hotel Hera met our needs and it was what I expected. We stayed here for 2 nights before heading down to the islands. The hotel was nice, the rooms were clean, but very small (and we even had a deluxe room with a Acropolis view). The view from the balcony is only of the Parthenon. The only complaint I have... more

I stayed at Hera for 2 nights. The location is great - a few minutes walk to Plaka and to Acropolis metro. At check in the receptionist was very friendly and I was given my room even though I arrived early. If you ask at reception, they will give you a lead to plug in your laptop in your room... more

Hotel appearance was good. Location excellent, just down the road from the Acropolis station and within walking distance to Plaka and the Acropolis itself. Breakfast starts from 6AM which was good for my wife and I, from Asia, who got up really early because of the time difference. Breakfast selection was decent. We stayed at the Hera twice: once at... more

I was staying in Hera hotel for few days (March/April) and my overall impression was very good. First of all it has a wonderful location, so close to Acropolis and also to Acropolis metro station. I liked how it looked like from front-side and it was even well visible from the top of Acropolis. I reserved a normal single room... more

This was the end of a very special trip for us,and on first impressions the Hera delivered; location and appearance is excellent; the Reception area is very elegant, the Bar however lacked ambience, and throughout our stay no-one used it; likewise the rooftop terrace restaurant bar lacked atmosphere, whilst having amazing views of the acropolis, with a few tweaks it could... more

I will NEVER stay there again!!! Location: The only good thing about this hotel! Overrated small rooms with a musty smell. Really this is a renovated boutique hotel? Have you ever stayd in a boutique hotel? this kind of work renovation should not be called renovation. Take a look at bathrooms first! The only renovation done in this hotel is... more

I really enjoyed my stay in the Hera Hotel. All the staff were lovely and helpful. Location is superb. You cannot get closer to the action. We were about 40 minutes from the airport and approximately €30. Minutes walking distance to the accropolis, plaka, all bars and restaurants. We walked to the Temple of Zeus and the Parliament without any... more

Hotel Hera is very modern, clean and updated with marble bathroom, free internet, newspapers at lobby wide range of breakfast choices and very helpful english speaking staff. It got a great view of the acropolis at their garden terrace. Located right by by the new acropolis museum, which is only open from 10-12 pm, free now as there are only... more
