We arrived at KJ admiring the pleasant looking and spacious lobby and after we got to our rooms we remembered the saying: 'Don't judge a book by it's cover'! There were three in my group and it was a two person bedroom which was tiny and even more so when we saw that they had placed a dodgy camp bed... more

The hotel itself is quite alright, you get a nice view of the Acropolis/Parthenon from your balcony, they do a good breakfast, the staff are nice, helpful, and speak good English. The hotel's main drawback is the surrounding neighborhood, with its swarms of drug addicts, hookers, illegal immigrant street merchants, panhandlers, etc. There's even what I thought must be either... more

To celebrate my 70th birthday, I booked a package with Kivotos of Aegean called "Athens and Classical Greece", which consisted of three nights in Athens, three nights on the classical tour and a final night in Athens. The accomodation in Athens was at the Hotel Jason King, Assomaton St., and I must admit to being somewhat aprehensive when the taxi... more

Likes others already said: Very nice, good-looking, clean hotel with a dirty and dislikeable location. The hotel itself is great clean and fairly big rooms with fridge, aircondition, sound-isolated windows, tv and balcony. And not to forget great breakfast compared to other 3* hotels in the south europe. The staff was generally friendly, but not very serving to give advises... more

It would not be our first choice, but since there was an event going-on in Athens, we were lucky to have a fairly good place to stay-in. We were unable to get a non-smoking room, so make sure you request it from the onset. The beds are somewhat comfortable. They are twin beds put together to create a double bed.... more

Booked the 4-night stay at the hotel via 24hoursbookings.com.. Gave 48 hour notice to the hotel that the third night would not be necessary. The hotel clerk said "ok". At 24 hours before, a different hotel guy said "must get online booking service approval". I scrambled to email the booking service people. Since then, it's been back and forth between... more

This hotel is located in a horrible location. Vacant, garage dump lots directly across the street from it. Groups of prostitutes just down the street at night. Strange men lurking around outside at all hours of the day and night. You can't step outside the hotel after dark. The front desk staff was o.k. Not overly friendly. The hotel smells... more

The King Jason itself is a clean, sleek and friendly hotel. The beds are clean and comfortable, the bathrooms are nice, and the restaurant is good. However in order to get from the hotel back to the Plaka, you walk through what my students came to call "heroin alley," infested with drunks and users en masse. more

I had already booked the hotel before I read the reviews on tripadvisor. Nevertheless, I went to Athens not knowing what to expect. Fortunately I was pleasantly surprised. True, the neighborhood doesn't look to good, but after having visited Athens I know that it's actually not all that bad compared to the rest of the city. I was in Athens... more

The problem with this hotel, aside from the hellish beds is the location. I think it is in little Pakistan as all of the stores and restaurants were run by Pakistanis. Nice people, but at night the men were very intimidating and as a result we were confined to our hotel. There is a lot to do in Athens, and... more
