put quite simply the other reviews sum the situation up very accurately but i will add my two bobs worth.. the street is dangerous and smells like urine, there are thugs that crowd the road right in front of the establishment, they will eye you off very closely while you check in and out, there are drug dealers and prositutes... more

Our travel agent booked this hostel for us which was far from any sort of main city locations down dirty, sketchy, urine-filled streets lined with bold street vendors. After staying at the Athens Hilton for a conference (a great hotel!), I paid far too much to stay at this dump. This is a dreadful hotel in an awful part of Athens. We booked the sisrer hotel but got there and found there was some mistake and we were moved (at their expense, big deal) to here.
