I first visited Athens two weeks ago and i was recommended to stay at Delphi Art Hotel. It turned out to be a great advice. Besides the fact that the area is not one of the best to stay, we had no problem moving around as the metro and public transportation is close and taxis are easy to find. Hotel's... more

If you like junkies shooting up 50 feet from the front door of the hotel, hookers around the corner and hundreds of refugees hanging around the streets this is the hotel for you. The City of Athens relocated all these fine folks from Omonia Square, a few blocks up the road and put then right in the middle of a... more

Keep in mind that I am Canadian and a four star hotel in America is pretty good. And keep in mind that with Greece part of the EU, I thought a four star hotel was the same in France (let's say) and Greece....WRONG!!!!! When the cab driver showed us the hotel, I was puzzled. Puzzled even more when I saw... more

The hotel did not live up to to the advertised claims. Room: no tea/coffee making facility; 'recent' renovation appears to mean 1975!; first offered room had dirty walls, flaking paint, black mould around the bath, a door to the mini balcony that would not close, empty boxes of bathroom sundries; we changed rooms to a 'suite' with 'luxury' bath that... more

First thing was the street which lead to the hotel. The closer you came the scaryer the faces became. As the next evening taxi driver said - drug people. The keycard wasn't working and I was told that there will be someone fixing it the very next day. Yep, didn't happen! The balcony doors couldn't be closed, heat and the... more

Delphi Art hotel is a short walk from Omonoia Square, and is a decent hotel. The breakfast is quite basic and nothing to shout about, though. There is a square in front of the hotel with a church with some nice coffee places, and it would be more charming if the square did not smell of urine. The basic rule... more

Stayed here as part of a trip to Greece with several other students. In comparison to our stay at the Tobacco Hotel in Thessaloniki (a great hotel!), this hotel was much less hospitable. First of all, the service was NOT GOOD. There was not always a receptionist available, and when there was he/she was sometimes rude and not helpful. The... more

Close to the metro, big rooms and big bathrooms (for Greece!), and the area isn't as bad as the poster below makes out.... I was with two friends (we are all females in our early 20s), and we had no problems at all... We never felt unsafe in the area at night. The staff are helpful and speak good English.... more

The area around the hotel is not safe. Our cab driver on dropping us off told us we were in a bad area, but it didn't appear that bad. However, walking home at night was very uncomfortable. The hotel is just a few blocks from a square that got pretty rough at night with groups of just cracked out kids.... more
