This is one of the worst hotels I've ever stayed in. I had an experienced taxi driver from the airport and he had to consult his street directory several times to find it.... Reception staff were surly and unhelpful. I suspect they are overworked. In my three days there the same guy was on all the time, at all hours.... more

It is a hotel for just one or two nights. Neighborhood is almost a getho. Don't suggest to walk alone in the night. Marina is situated in Omonia which is not so safe as other parts of athens. Otherwise rooms are clean and we didn't have any problems with staff in hotel. Don't expect to have extraordinary breakfast. more

We stayed here for one night in Athens. All the reviews said bad location, but we had already stayed 2 nights in Athens the week before just a few streets over and that was fine. However the street that the hotel is on, is a little dodgy. We did feel scared. And it's not a well signed area. It was... more

This hotel was located in a very dark run down side road in a very intimidating part of Athens. On our first night there we were tempted to catch the next flight back to London. The hotel itself was very hard to find, in fact we walked past it the first time. But thats not why I am writing this... more

The Hotel is decent for the price. The big problem with the Marina Hotel is the surroundings. From our balcony we could see junkies fixing themself, in what I would call a junkieyard. The junkieyard were the backyard to the hotel, and it more or less looked like a place where everyone in the surrounding buildings, took a thing from... more

The hotel itself is nice and the owners are so lovely, but the street is VERY dangerous. There are needles everywhere and I saw three different people shooting heroin. Yes, I am serious. Needles in their arms during the day time. Every cab driver that dropped us off told us to be careful. Each night we would go running to... more

When we arrived at the hotel, there was a guy, obviously on drugs sitting right outside our hotel-room. It isn't very far from omonoia metrostation, but you'll have to go through some pretty scary streets to get there. There are men hanging around who will just stare at you when you go past. We didn't want to go there after... more

Hotel Marina had okei rooms but, they had a really bad neigbourhood. Alot of men that was sitting right outside the hotel door and it was really scary to go out at night. The breakfast was tasteless and very very very simple, not a good start in the morning. But the rooms was okei, not dirty or had any types... more

The hotel has a great interior and is good value for money. The rooms are very clean, fairly modern and neat, the beds are great! The area the hotel is in is not great particularly at night. There were often gangs of men, pick-pockets and drug abusers in the area which had to be dispersed regularly by police. I would... more

Hotel rooms are ok for the price we paid when we got it in a deal with Easyjet return air tickets. But the only issue is that all these streets about 300m from Omonia Square are dodgy and you will see passers by making comments about the lady with you. At nights, it's even more risky and even taxi drivers... more
