We were quite disappointed with this hotel. Granted, we arrived after a week’s stay in a five star hotel in Mykonos making the comparison all the more startling. We stayed just one night. First, we had two single beds. I suppose the arrangement is acceptable for sleeping. Second, the bathroom was not particularly clean. Third, the spacious balcony provided two... more

I judge hotels primarily in three areas: Location, Comfort and Service (and not necessarily in that order). The Art Hotel Athens was one of several hotels we stayed in before and after a cruise on a four week tour of Europe. The location was excellent, being within easy walking distance of the Museum of Archaeology and the Metro to get... more

I am very happy we chose Art Hotel for our stay in Athens. This was the best hotel we stayed in Greece. Great price and value. The staff is extremely well trained to make your stay memorable and help you in any way possible. By our mistake we lost our flight, we where really sad and came down to reception... more

first time in Athens we took a taxi from the airport and the driver brought us to another art hotel called Delphi. I thought this is not what I saw on the website realizing few minutes later that this was not the hotel we booked! We take a second taxi and finally are infront of this amazing neoclassical building I... more

The pictures on the website make this hotel look modern and sophisticated which is not what we found when we arrived at the hotel. They must have been taken some time ago. Everywhere looked dated and the room was very pokey and small. The shower was so low down the wall that I had to crouch on my knees to... more

Even though the rooms are quite small I would recommend this hotel. It is conveniently located within easy walking distance to the nearest metro which is important. It's close to the National Museum and reasonable restaurants. It's not in the greatest area but that's hard to find anywhere in Athens without paying a fortune. We were perfectly comfortable coming and... more

To be honest we were initially shocked at how compact our room was, but it was spotless. Also, although we'd booked a double room we had two single beds pushed together, a pet hate of mine but very common in hotels in Europe. The view we had from our window was that of an abandoned house, but since we spent... more

After reading the various reviews of this hotel, we were looking forward to staying at the Art Hotel. Unfortunately, our actual experience at the Art Hotel fell far short of of our expectations. First, the good points. (a)The price was very reasonable. The Art Hotel was the cheapest hotel we stayed at during our trip. (b) Breakfast and free internet... more

We stayed at the Art Hotel for the first night of our Greece honeymoon. When we got there the lady at the desk sat us down and got us a complimentary drink and some snacks and sat down with us with a map of Athens and showed us where we are and where all the attractions are (about a 10-15... more

Art Hotel Athens is a good choice overall. Even though my room 206 was very small (I would say too small for 2 with luggage, for which it is designed), I used it alone, got a very good deal and was very happy. Great baths, good breakfast, very central, close to metro, very friendly, helpful, if somewhat chaotic staff. I... more
