We decided to stay at Hotel Phidias, rather than our usual hotel in the Plaka, mainly because it is only a short walk to the metro at Thissio, and more convenient if you simply want a place to stay on the way to and from Piraeus and the Cyclades. The hotel is spotlessly clean and comfortable; the staff are helpful,... More

Great location! With splendid view of Acropolis from the rooms facing the street, this hotel gives you all you need: a great place to stay being so close to explore the Monastiraki and Syntagma areas by foot – history & shopping; not to say about the amazing Acropolis which is moments away from the door… Great area to be in... This review is hard to write because the people were just so friendly. However, the room itself, while stayable and pretty affordable for Athens (€69) was tired, kind of worn out and dated. We often stay in small guesthouses and really are pretty happy with simple accomodations, but this room felt slightly depressing. However, on the upside, the location was... More

Here's a tip - book a room at the Hotel Tony. The hotel Phidias is a dump - really the only thing it has going for it is the location. It's very over priced, dirty, run down and you will be lucky if your air con works. We were in Greece for 3 weeks, this is the worst place we... More

We stayed for 3 nights here. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. The breakfast was nice and overall it is a good hotel if you want to be close to one of the busiest area in Athens. It's unfortunate that the rooms are not up to a better standard. They are clean but very tired. although some aspects are... More

This hotel is standing in the best and safer place to stay at in Athens : Near museums, cafes, pubs and tranport stations, in a safe area. You can really walk to it late in the evening on foot!!!But the owners, I think do not know what they have. It is a small hotel, without a lot of rooms, so... More

24ur staff is awesome. Rooms are small but always clean and comfortable. Daily breakfast is simple but always fresh. Overall we had a wonderful stay. We loved that this hotel is close (w/ in walking distance) to everything in Athens we wanted to see. It's in a great neighbourhood; surrounded by restaurants, cafes, and bars. It's w/in walking distance to... More

This was the first hotel we stayed in during our honeymoon to Greece. The hotel was in a perfect location along the pedestrian street, very close to the acropolis and easy walking distance to everything you would want to see in Athens. Lots of good restaurants and bars are located nearby. Unfortunately we did not find it a very comfortable... More

This Central Athens hotel is just below the acropolis in a trendy area and just up the road from the Thisseo Metro station which means it is directly connected to Piraeus harbour via the older Green Line and with just one stop to Monastiraki Station where you can switch to the the Blue Line direct to the Airport. So if... More
