We stayed three nights at the "budget priced" Hotel Kimon in Apollonos Street, Plaka and thought that at 70 Euro a night for the room we were being "ripped off", even though this was less than the published room rate.
The twin bedded room was clean enough but was tired and basic in the extreme. It did have a rather noisy air-conditioning unit and a phone but it was only possible to phone out from the reception desk.
To access the balcony we had to climb through a window???
My wife needed to hang up some dresses and no wardrobe of sufficient length was provided.
The bathroom indicative of many of the bathrooms we encountered in hotels and rooms in which we stayed costing around half this price had a clogged shower box (not attended to while we were there despite us reporting this). In the tiny shower it was impossible to avoid water being splashed all over the floor through the shower curtain. The design of the bathroom was such...
