I had to go to athens for a meeting, i stayed at Roy Hotel for 4 days. The hotel is quite clean, the rooms clean and tidy, with tv, aircontidion, wc, etc. The breakfast included was nice, and the manager as well as the other clerks were very friendly and helpfull. Small, but clean and everything worked. Both the manager and desk clerk were friendly and helpful. Cold buffet breakfast included was good. The location was good and a sign on the main street VERY helpful. Metro about 4 blocks away. Also lots of restaurants, shops and a very pretty little park. This was my third trip in Athens and I decided to stay at the Hotel Roy largely because of the price and somewhat central location. The room turned out to be the size of a broom closet, the bathroom smelled of mold, guests argued in other rooms, and there was no AC during a month of 40+ C temperatures! When... more
