Had to find a hotel for 2 nights and came across the Grand Chalet in Kifisia near where I was working. The building is impressive as is the lobby with heavy wood that you might expect in a chalet. Wireless
internet is available throughout the facility, but you have to pay by
the hour to use it. The included breakfast was very good and dinner in the restaurant was also very good. We had the chateaubriand for 2 and it was the best steak I have had in Athens to date. There is an olympic size pool outside on the spacious grounds and there is also free parking in their own parking lot, a rarity anywhere in Athens. The rooms were dated and in need of renovation. The bathrooms had been recently renovated and were very clean. Hallways were dark and floor creaky, and the lift could only hold 1 person with 1 bag. Overall the experience was good and I would stay there again. more
