We stayed the last 2 weeks of August and travelled with our 17 year old daughter and 8 year old son. The apartments are absolutely fantastic and we cannot fault Candia Park, we had a lovely holiday and are considering going back in 2010. The transfer time from the airport is one of the longest but well worth it. Following... more

We went as a family with an eleven year old, self catering with Thomson and had a great time. The resort mainly consists of families from the UK and Germany but no marauding teenagers as their needs are better catered for in the town of Mália. Try to get a room with a sea view as this really made our... more

We did a last minute booking and found this place on the internet. Travelled with First Choice and had a great experience from beginning to end. Candia Park apartments are located in a village type setting around impressive swimming pools and bar/restaurant facilities. Staff were very effiecient and friendly and everywhere was immaculately clean. The complex was out of town... more

Please don't hesitate - book a holiday here if you value peace and quiet when you want it, livelines when you want it and all round chill, made to measure holiday. The Village is modelled on a cretan style village - we stayed in a self catering sea view apartment (a blue one!) with the most spectacular views over the... more

Have just returned from a great 2 week stay at Candia Park. I would agree with the general sentiments from the vast majority of reviewers who rate this hotel highly. In addition I would like to add the following observations and tips. This hotel seems to work best for self caterers who intend to hire a car, and half board... more

We had a lovely holiday here. There were 4 of us, two adults and two teenagers, in a one bedroom apartment and we found there was plenty of room for us all. The balcony was large and we used it as an extra room for eating and relaxing, not to mention drying swimming costumes etc. The way in which the... more

This was our 3rd holiday at the Candia Park Village and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing holiday. The grounds are beautiful and kept really neat and tidy. The staff are friendly, the rooms are lovely (ask for a top floor if you want the afternoon sun) and are cleaned every day. We had clean towels... more

Just back from a weeks stay in the Candia Park Village we found the place really very good. We stayed half board with first choice, which was great value for the 3 of us, as food prices outside the hotel with comparable quality were quite high. This hotel has fantastic facilities for all ages. Great kids club and water and... more

We liked the style of the hotel (average size "village" type hotel with small "houses"), we appreciated the small beach and the quite setting. Unfortunately, only few rooms are privileged with nice sea views whilst the rest have garden view only. Very good for children; ours loved the Mini Club and spent more time there than anywhere else! The food... more

About an hour from Heraklion airport this hotel is built in traditional cretan village style with small appartments only 2 stories high. We felt this was far more attractive than a high rise hotel. We were allocated appartment 132 which was on the ground floor a short walk away from the main restaurant/pool area. There was a very good size... more
