If you are thinking of staying in this hotel, I cannot advise you enough not to. Although near to the best stretch of beach in Agios Nikolaos, the standard of the hotel and staff is really not worth it. Have listed the main problems below. 1. The room was small and basic. Nothing like the rooms advertised and the shower... more

Do not go to this hotel. We were given a room next to the hotel rubbish dump when we had paid extra for a sea view. You could just about see the ocean if you had telescopic sight. We were kept awake by the rats scurrying around at night and when we complained the hotel's assistant manager was incredibly rude.... more

First take into consideration that we stayed on a "luxuray bungalow". These rooms are located at the top of the hill just near the main swimming pool. There is a radio, CD player, satellite TV, refrigerator and air conditioning (the one of our neighbor was very noisy). The sea view is really nice! Meal is OK but no more like... more

Having just returned from the Miramare for the ninth time, I found it just as welcoming as the first. When we first stayed there it was a small family hotel and we have watched it grow into a village of it's own. The hotel is exceptionally clean in all areas, food of excellent quailty, pool areas clean and sunbeds plenty,... more

Not long returned from 11 days at the Miramare hotel. this in my opinion is not a 4t Hotel, rooms are very basic with no tea facilities or iron and ironing board, recieption and dinning rooms are very nice and food was basic but plenty of it, there is a steep hill that you have to go up to reach... more

We went on holiday to the Miramare Hotel for our honeymoon at the beginning of July. We flew to Heraklion airport which is small but adequate and air conditioned which is a big plus, it is then about 45 minutes by taxi to the hotel (We would advise booking private transfers before going as we don't know how much it... more

Myself and husband along with 2 friends stayed at the Miramare in July 2006 for 2 weeks. Hotel is situated on a hill with a steep approach - not good for elderly or those with walking difficulties. By the end of the 2 weeks we called the hill "Heart Attack Hill." Rooms were clean but very basic. AC was free... more

My wife and I - perhaps a bit naively - chose the Miramare “3-star” for our honeymoon. 4-star was fully booked and choices were few. Some good and bad points with this "hotel". ROOM: definitely not romantic, and definitely not 3-star! We had separate beds - despite the fact that the travel agent said she would notify the hotel that... more

The location of the hotel is beautiful and its proximity to the sea are the only advantages this hotel offers. The food variety was decent. But the rest was terrible. Due to the Palace of Knossos-like labyrinth stairwells to get from the main lobby/dining area to one's room, this hotel is not for the elderly or those with walking issues.... more

We stayed at Agios Nicolaos Miramare hotel 22/9-6/10/2005. A perfect location at the beautiful Mirabello Bay; the vieuws from our room with sight on the bay were just great. Walking distance to the town centre. A quite positive experience if you like and enjoy typical Greek lack of perfection.. if back in the area, we book the hotel again! more
