My wife Fiona and I had a very relaxing holiday here.

They are a very close Greek family who run the apartments, which are on a hill just outside of the harbour town. It was only 20mins walk into town at night, same time to the beach, but be warned there are not much in the way of pavements.

Taxis into town cost 5 Euros. Taxis to the beach cost 5 Euros. Taxis anywhere cost 5 Euros. They come in a few minutes and don't try and rip you off.

The apartments themselves are a curious old design. There is a cool basement area with a bed, next level up is the kitchen and main bathroom and a steep set of wooden stairs leads to the bedroom, with another ensuite and a huge balcony. You get used to the stairs. The view is amazing, over the hills. OK, it's not a sea view, but it's very pretty as the sun sets.

There's no air conditioning, but you're so high up, the wind is very soothing. If I were you, I'd immediately rent a fan from the taverna below. It... more
