Stayed as part of a package deal or charter. Picked Kydon because it boasted **** status at a great price tag. Service and staff are great, friendly, helpful. Decor is rather tired and old. Almost perfect for a city hotel. Great hotel, wonderfully clean, wonderful staff. Breakfast was good, nice firm beds. Although I didn't complain about it, the couch in the sitting room of our suite was old and looked like it needed an intensive steam clean, better still it should have been thrown out. True, due to central location it is not the quitest hotel (common to all city-center hotels in Greek towns). Lack of swimming pool could also be a drawback if you travel with kids. Otherwise, large, clean and handy rooms; helpful and ever-smiling staff. That's more than sufficient for a hotel for this category and this price. One advice: restaurant's food... more

Nice, clean basic European hotel with a great Cretan breakfast. I stayed in a courtyard facing room and had no noise issues. Very good location across the street from the old town open market. I paid 76 Euros for a single room thad had two twin beds and a small bathroom. more
