We stayed there for 5 nights during our Crete trip: the staff is helpful and nice, they give very good advice, breakfast is probably the best in Crete. To stay close to the old city I would go there again anytime. They made us a lunch box for the Samaria gorge trip (highly recommended, btw)! more

This place is pretty expensive by Chania standards but the only thing it has going for it is that it is next door to the bus station. Our room was fairly tacky and smelt like it had been the scene of a chain smokers' convention. The hotel couldn't or wouldn't give us another room. more

With its location right next to the main bus station, you might be put off by the Samaria. However, its really quiet, the rooms are clean and adequate, the bar and breakfast nice,the downtown location convenient. My only complaint was that we could not hook-up to e-mail via their phones, even with all the right connectors. more
