I stayed at the Amphitri Hotel in late September. Fortunately, I speak Greek, because the staff did not. The lobby looks like someone's living room with newspapers and junk everywhere. The woman at the desk could not even tell me where the local tourist office was located on the map. The room was tiny, but it did have a view of the harbor. However, the sink was dirty and there were cobwebs under the desk and bureau. I went down to reception to complain and they did come up to clean a little. The next morning after breakfast I noticed water on the bathroom floor that was coming from the toilet when you flushed it. When I went down to complain about that, the woman at the desk said I should find another hotel. Greece is a very clean country (I lived there for 11 years) and I have never encountered a dirty hotel anywhere.
