First of all I'll say we had a very enjoyable week in Hania at the Althea. The public areas are very clean and well presented. The gardens are very well kept and the rooms are very generous in size (although I think we had a family room for 2 people) and well presented. The pool areas are very pleasant, and... more

We stayed in Althea Village hotel with my husband and son in May. We loved it from the beginning. The hotel itself, garden, pools, staff, food... They had opened the hotel one week bewfore our arrival, and therefore there were not too many people, and there was space to swim and relax quite privatly. Many thanks to Nikos and the... more

We stayed at the Althea for 2 weeks in July. Was a little nervous as there weren't many previous reviews but there was no need. The hotel itself is made up of apartments in a village style. We were welcomed very warmly and shown to our room. It was ok, quite basic and certain things looked a bit old (the... more

The Althea Village hotel is small blocks of rooms and apartments set in lovely gardens. Our room was large with 3 beds, air con, a fridge and a large bathroom. The rooms and the whole hotel were very clean. We stayed on a B&B basis - the breakfasts were good continental style food. The restaurant had an a la carte... more

I spent my honewmonn at this wonderfull hotel and everything was fantastic: the staff, the room, the food, the show, the pool!! Everything!! I enjoyed the nice cocktail prepared by the bartender and in the morning the pool was sooo great. In June there were not so many turists and we felt like the entire hotel was for us! Absolutly... more

I have been to Chania in Crete several times before but this was my first time staying at the Althea Village Hotel. I got a very pleasant surprise, as the standard of accomodation was superb, it also has two great swimming pools and serves some great food and drinks. The people at reception would do anything for you, from taxi's... more

Calimera! (Hello in Greek) Me and my family arrived Althea Village late in the evening June 2003. Because of the reason that it was dark, we didn't see much of the hotel that night, but the hotelroom was just fabulous! It was on 2 floors, and got 2 balcons, 2 bathrooms, livingroom and kitchen and bedroom! I had never expected... more
