We celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary at Ammos and it was great. Lovely room with a balcony overlooking the pool and the wonderful beach. The setting is fantastic and we swam in the clear sea water almost every day. The hotel was quite quiet out of season which we loved. The staff were excellent, nothing is too much trouble. It... more

We stayed for one week in late October the food was so good we ate in the hotel every night. The main waitress, Poppy, was so friendly. In the morning another waitress Maria assisted with the breakfasts and was again very helpful, in fact all the staff were so nice. The owner Nicos and his partnet Dimitra were very nice... more

Just back from the Ammos hotel and it was a breathe of fresh air! Normally as a couple we opt for small boutique hotels so it was great to find one which was child friendly too!! The staff were so friendly to our daughter (3) - she loved it! Our room was perfectly formed and in a great spot, next... more

We thought it was an exceptionally well run small hotel, with everything needed for a relaxing stay. It is located on a nice beach, in a quiet suburban area on the outskirts of Hania. You have quick and easy access to the town centre, and easy to follow road access to the main coast road. The hotel had a very... more

On our recent Honeymoon, we stayed at six different hotels across different islands (including some luxury resorts), and the experience at Ammos was one of our favorites. I would definitely go back. The staff was really top notch and provided us with killer recommendations for restaurants, drives and activities. We also took advantage of the beautiful spa room for massages... more

This hotel resort was absolutely amazing. The location was wonderful, the staff was fantastic and really helpful, the restaurant was great, and the rooms themselves were lovely. I stayed in a triple with two friends and we had a great time. The hotel is just a short car ride or 15 minute bus ride from Chania and is even walkable... more

Hot showers with a "Rain" shower head above you...even if your a tall guy like me. The hotel restaurant serves great food until 10 or 11pm. You are 10 minutes by car from... more

Ammos is one of these rare hotels that are simultaenously cool & chic and childfriendly. Its layout is typical for a Greek beach hotel, yet embellised with very interesting design elements both in the exterior and interior. All furniture and fittings are from high quality materials - there is nothing plastic.. The hotel has a blue flag beach and the... more

We had a great experience at this hotel. The owner and staff were very friendly and helpful in a country where we found that not everyone is. The rooms were spotless, new and comfortable. Fluffy towels and nice toiletries added to the experience. There was a fridge and sink which was helpful for snacks and drinks. The hotel has a... more

Location Very good situation right on a sandy beach with shops nearby, also a supermarket, bowling and crazy golf. Sea was very clear when calm but on some days got quite choppy. 25 minute taxi ride from Chania airport (€30) 2 hour taxi ride from Heraklion (€120) 25 minute local bus to centre of Chania (tickets €0.90 from hotel reception)... more

Dear guest, thank you for taking the time to write a review. I also gives me a good opportunity to address some of the above mentioned points. 1) Food quality and variety at ammos restaurant I am the one who composed our new menu, taught the cooks (local women) how it should be prepared and served. I am also the...
