Firstly , think there should be a category between " average "and " above average " for Kalives Beach Hotel. Stayed in June 07 in order to visit my son and family who live in Vamos. Just returned from this hotel, stayed 2 weeks half board with my family. On the plus side its right by a good safe clean beach in a small cretan town. It also has an international mix of customers (mainly German, Danish, British, US and Greek), which we liked. The food is OK, but dont expect high cusine. It is listed... more

If you are looking for a quiet beach holiday in a town that still has some authentic Cretian feel, than this is the place for you. If you want to go clubbing every night then it isn't.
