I arrived in Chania on a late bus without a hotel room. This place was a couple of blocks away from the bus depot and they had a room for 40 euros. The room was clean (although carpeted) and comfortable....twin beds and a TV. Bathroom was spotless although the soap was recycled from the last guest (yuck!) but this was remedied when I called the front desk.

There is a supermarket down the street from the hotel and the hotel itself is about a 15 minute walk from the Venetian port.

One thing to note is that on 2 sides of the hotel, there is construction. I wasn't there long enough to see anyone working but it is possible things could get noisy during the morning and throughout the day.

I would recommend this place for people planning to walk the Samaria Gorge and want to catch the early bus to Omoria. Staying here will let you sleep in a bit longer and you'll have a 2 minute walk to the bus depot to catch the 6:15am bus. As well, you can pick up a few... more
