Don't people read about the hotel before they book it ?! It was clear to me from the catalogue that the hotel is far from Elounda - and it was one of the reasons we booked it. We also rented a car, so it wasn't an issue for us. But yes : it's far from the town centre, and it... more

1. Beautiful hotel, standard of room - garden / sea view with balcony - was superb. 2. Very quiet, peaceful relaxing holiday but only entertainment one night of wk - sat it was traditional greek dancing. 3. Bar prices extortionate - 17 euros for G&T and diet coke 4. Was a 3Km trek into Elounda - therefore stock up on... more

Have just returned from a 7 day stay at Elounda Village. The hotel setting is stunning. The views from all aspects of the hotel to die for. Food was plentiful with a lot of choice. Staff were all very helpful at all times. Two things let it down. 1. The bar prices were extortionate - 17.20 euros for a G&T... more

We went to Elounda village for our 40th anniversary I was so dissapointed with thisholiday. We were so far out of Elounda and to walk the road was not the best. The prices in the Hotel were a total rip off a small glass of wine was 9euros 30 cents, A bottle of table water was 3euros 60cents. The room... more

Perfect friendly staff, views to die for, good food - what more could one ask for - other than slightly cheaper drinks and the re-opening of the Symposium Restaurant to offer an alternative to a buffet every night! The hotel has been extended in the last 12 months with several new bedrooms. These are spacious and well fitted out with... more

Me and my husband booked a 2 week stay at this hotel for our 2nd honeymoon. When we arrived at the hotel we were greated by amazing reception staff and a glass of champagne, as we had booked a superior room we were informed we had been upgraded to the junior suite and to Mythios class, for no extra charge.... more

We booked the Elounda Village on the strength of good reviews on this site and agree with most of what has been recorded. Arrived by car at 4.00 a.m. rather weary, to find reception staff on hand to whisk our cases away, park the car and urge us to settle in, then fill out the formalities later when we felt... more

Almost everything about this 5-star hotel was 5-star. We upgraded to a Junior suite and on reflection we were glad that we did. It looked, from the outside, that there was a lot more room and rooms as well as several perks; occasional fruit (not every 2 days), newspaper, water, DVD etc. There seemed to be a shortage of sheets... more
