Kastro was a nice hotel in a good location, just a few minutes’ walk from the central square but still in a quiet street. The hotel was clean with a modern bathroom and the size of the room was sufficient although not very large. There were nice staff in the reception, and we were given a bottle of raki when... More

What a cool hotel! The layout of the spacious rooms (well, our room anyway), was built on somewhat of a slant and the color scheme was a soft neon green - very modern. It looked like the furniture was fairly new and the room was very clean. The hotel is not overlooking the ocean or water, but it is within... More

Our agent (Greek Sun) booked us into this hotel for one night, due mainly to its proximity to the ferry port (taxi - 5 euros). It was also an easy walk to the touristy part of the centre of town, where there were plenty of nice bars and restaurants. The hotel was very clean and comfortable. Bedroom reasonably spacious with... More

We decided to walk from the bus stop to Kastro hotel. It was about 15min walk from the main bus station (probably less if you have no luggage). We would probably advise you to take the taxi since it wasn't easy trying to walk down the streets with our luggage. Taxi would probably have cost only 6 or 7 euros.... More

We stayed twice for one night on arrival and departure from Crete. The Kastro is well located relative to downtown and the waterfront and is only 12 minutes by taxi from the airport and less from the port. The rooms are well appointed, comfortable and clean and at a standard above what one would normally expect from a three star... More

We stayed 2 nights to visit Heraklion before heading into the countryside. Kastro Hotel was excellent as a base for visiting the town. Good location, good breakfast, free wifi, comfortable and spacious room. Not luxury but fantastic value at 60 eur/night for two, including breakfast. More

my boyfriend and i stayed here for two nights. when we arrived (super early due to taking an overnight ferry from athens), there were no rooms available, so we went and grabbed breakfast a few streets down and wandered around the city. when we returned, we were given a room, but after we had gotten to our room and begun... We made a reservation for double room through Venere.com. It showed very nice room photos on the internet. However, when we checked in, they offered us a strange triple room at a dark corner. Wall is very humid so that we could see the black water print. Hotel location is very convenient if you want to visit city center. Wifi... More

The perfect place to stay, a minutes walk from the strip in Malia, quiet on the nights for a good nights sleep but perfect positioning from the strip, with phenomenal home cooked food (especially the home made Greek food!) and a lively cocktail bar with exceptional cocktails and a live DJ which were the perfect start to any night out...
