Just back from Gouves (Crete) 5th June to 19th stayed at the villa Maria Kelly. Great place to stay for a relaxing holiday, rooms were basic but clean with all you need for a comfortable stay, air con cost 100 euros the safe cost 30 euros for 2 weeks. Stayed at these apartment end of May. What a find! Only problem was that they are in Kato Gouves and certainly our taxi driver from the airport wasn't too sure where they were but didn't have a problem finding out from his fellow drivers whilst speeding our way in the general direction.(25 euros).
