When I booked the hotel for our first trip to Crete we were a bit anxious. what it would look like. What a surprise, we got a LARGE hotel room of excellent standard. Free WIFI internet, large refrigator ( not this tiny small ones which only have room for a bottle of water). Only 100 meters to the beach, not... more

First time at Cretan Villa was 2007, next spring 2008 and the next visit is booked - can a place get better recommendation? This small hotel is perfectly located in Ierapetra: close to bus, beach, shops, restaurants - you name it! But even if it's located in the town it's quiet at nights which gives you a good nights sleep.... more

My husband and I spent three delicious days (October 12-13-14) in Ierapetra, Crete—“the southernmost city in Europe”. Arriving by public bus from Sitia, without reservations, we serendipitously spotted and followed signs for the Cretan Villa Hotel. Delightful! Our very clean, simply furnished room had its own bathroom, shower, small fridge, and TV (boomers, try surfing for old reruns of Daniel... more

A cute little Cretan hotel in a central side street near the bus station. Fridge/TV/Ac. Proprietor is friendly and speaks English. We visited as backpackers, good value. room would be a bit claustrophobic for a long stay. Ierapetra is a smartish provincial town. The old quarter a fascinating maze to walk around. A busy fishing harbour; some historical features, Napoleons... more

Cretan villa in Ierapetra is a perfect small hotel located in the centre of the town. It has everything u need for a basic stay - nice rooms, clean rooms, aircondition, good location and reasonable prices even in high season. If you come with the car, parking is a little problem, but you can park in some streets beneath the... more

We based ourselves in Ierapetra to explore the eastern part of Crete and were pleased to have chosen Cretan Villa. The building is well maintained and it is situated just 1-2 minutes walk away from the central part of Ierepetra where you'd find chic cafes and shops. Also you will find the waterfront is only a nice breezy walk away.... more

We just returned from a week in Ierapetra at Cretan Villa hotel, where we had a great time. We got a room on the ground floor, it was spacious, clean and had a large patio, complete with table and chairs for our own use. A delightful and friendly small hotel run by the owner and his family. “I was very... more

My friends and I have stayed at this hotel at least once a year since 1998 (surely that speaks volumes for what we think about it). We discovered it quite by chance in a guidebook and couldn't believe our luck. Once you push open the wooden door from the street you enter a beautiful cool courtyard dotted with little tables... more
