Hotel was a high standard - recommend booking the 2 room deluxe which is very large. Staff very friendly and helpful. The only negative is that all the information describes a pool bar, but it is actually a public bar open until about 1.00 am and there is some noise as a result. more

We stayed at the Axos Hotel for 6 days and it's a good value hotel on the outskirts of Rethymnon. Positioned on a manmade tourist strip on a busy main road but 2 mins from the nearest beach. Got studio for very good rate (about £20/night) through Travel Republic/GreatLateDeals. On arrival management tried to shunt us to another hotel due to "mix up". We stayed from 8 till 21 august at Axos. It is a great hotel. The rooms are verry modern en just been renovated. And everything you need is there even a toaster. Airconditioning is free.
