We stayed at Vardia Bay a few weeks ago for the second time. We love Folegandros and staying at this facility. My husband had just injured his ankle (we found out 2 days ago that it was fractured and he just now had surgery). Because of his injury, the staff had a van provide transportation from the port to the... More

Nice hotel in a brilliant location with great views to the harbour and beach. Not many places to eat nearby but there is a very good bus service to the Chora which runs till about 1am in the morning. Clean hotel with basic free breakfasts

I have originally booked to stay in that hotel for 5 nights, but I only stayed 3. I payed 165€ for a superior room, that had nothing to be jealous of the standard ones, that where much cheaper. The breakfast wad really poor, to start with. The hotel really needs renovation, the doors kept slaming all night long from the... More

Folegandros Island was chosen as a part of our May 2012 Greek Island tour specifically because it is small and not overcrowded with tourists like us. Folegandros is an undiscovered gem in the Greek Cyclades. If you read this review, burn it or delete it after reading. We would like to keep Folegandros a secret, because we are going back!... More

We stayed in these apartments as part of a island hopping holiday. The room was immaculate all colour coordinated, breakfast was served by Violetta the Bulgarian owner on our terrace which was overlooking the port. the breakfast was lovely apart from the orange juice which seemed to be made from a powder. the owner offered to rent us a car... Lonely Planet nearly put us off staying in the tiny port of Karavostastis, describing it as a 'last resort' but we thought it was a delightful, quiet place ,preferable to the Hora as we wanted to have a balcony closer to the sea instead of being perched 1000ft up the vertiginous cliffs where the main village is located.Vardia Bay offered... Folegandros is a bit of a special island. You can either stay in the port town Karavostasi or upland, mainly in the Chora town. In the first case you have a charming harbour to view and acceptable bathing close by or about a kilometer away (good walking road to a sandy beach), but a town with few amenities. In the... More

We spent a good time in vardia: the staff is really nice and helpfull (thanks to everybody again), the position is good:closed to port, beaches (for a last swim is fantastic, you can get a shower at the reception) and only 10 minutes from Chora by bus. The view from our balcony was really beautifull but the room was not... More

Folegandros is one of the best destinations I've traveled, Chora is very beautiful, great food and hospitality. Vardia Bay Hotel offers a reasonable service, the breakfast is quite poor, even with the value of housing, could be better. I was trapped on the island due to the winds, and the hotel clerk helped me with the information needed to solve... More
