stayed last september...amazing view...amazing coctails....the staff was always smiling and polite...close to the sea as well as the town.very clean and very comfortable beds, also though full extremely quiet.

The hotel is perched on the top of a hill so has great views across the old town and sea. We travelled in May so sitting by the pool area wasn't particularly warm as the pool area was very windy (as the hotel is exposed on the top of the hill) but there were glass screens to help a little.... More

Negatives Shabby rooms with a low quality finish. Throughout our stay we had many problems with our room. On three separate occasions we had to inform reception that our toilet had stopped flushing. Although this was quickly resolved each time, it didn't prepare us for when the shower suddenly erupted in the middle of the night gushing out dirty water... More

I have just returned from a long weekend with my friend at the Tharroe. We are in our 20's and were looking for somewhere to enjoy the clubs and wind down also. We stayed in September 2012. Very attentive staff that gave us great advice on where to eat. There was not a car/driver available when we were there, but the buses all stopped a few minutes away to take us to town or beaches. We even walked the crazy roads..a bit scary at times, but a nice workout!

This lovely hotel is minutes from the center of town, but up on a lovely hill. Hotel has car and driver that will take you to beach or town. The pool and view are magnificent. Rates are good. The room was average. The service was ok. The view and pool were definitely the highlights of this property. Don't expect too much and you will leave happy. It was loud at night as we had the room on the end closest to the road.
