We arrived at Artemonas at about 11:30 and less than an hour later we were in our small but cozy room with a nice balcony with bamboo armchairs!!! We had a great family vacation at Sifnos, staying at the Smaragdi hotel, in Artemonas. The hotel is situated in the beginning of the picturesque village, and although it is pretty basic in its accomodations, it is meticulously clean. This hotel appeared nice enough on its web site and the price was decent, so I booked. Quite attractive, but not as nice as the pictures would have you think. The room we had (#4) was VERY small, and the bathroom even smaller. Getting in and out of the shower stall was a problem, and we are a normal-sized couple.... more
